Shresth Verma is a Robotics PhD candidate at WPI, specializing in kinematics, system dynamics, and motion control for medical robotic applications. He earned his Master’s degree in Robotics from Boston University, where his graduate research, “Contact Force Regulation in a Miniaturized Soft Robot,” addressed the mechanics and control of fluid-driven soft continuum structures. The work focused on developing modeling frameworks and closed-loop control algorithms to accurately monitor and regulate interaction forces in miniaturized, hydraulically actuated soft systems. Shresth completed his undergraduate studies in Mechanical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Patna (IIT Patna). Beyond his academic endeavors, he enjoys playing cricket, building hands-on DIY projects, and cooking.
